About

Past
Where other people have blood, I have ink. Before I became a freelance writer, I was an adolescent kid huddled behind spiral notebooks, writing terrible poetry and even worse short stories. As I grew, I honed my skills, and graduated to writing things that other people actually enjoyed reading.
Naturally, I went on to graduate magna cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor degree in English. I say “naturally” because, if you’re reading this, I know you can already tell that I’m super-smart.
Upon graduation, I was disheartened by the lack of professional writing options. I tried on a career in business at first, edging my way into the finance world and making quite a bit of leeway, but I soon discovered that the long days filled with numbers were not going to work for me. I craved long days filled with words.
I began working closely with another freelance writer on some copywriting projects in my spare time and found it to be a far more enjoyable sort of work than crunching numbers. Surprising, I know.
